I agree. What does it matter in today's society? You should not care about what you look like as long as you are fine. I would wear the ugliest jacket in the world if I needed to be warm. I would wear the ugliest and worn out shoes so long as my feet feel good. There is no reason for fashion. Clothing is a cover and a protective layer, not a way to express your wealth or social class. |
Yup especially in this economical situation

I don't attempt to express my social class. But i still spend thousands of dollars on clothes. And myself, and my family are still doing very good in this economic crisis.

Its nice to have jeans that only a few people around your area has O:
evisus , imperails . apcs . nudies |
There's a reason nobody else buys them, they aren't suckered in by corporations to pay 5x what something's worth just for a stab at originality and false sense of superiority.
Basically, you're bragging about being scammed. |
A.P.C's are better quality than your little 40 dollar jeans.
Matter of fact, all those brands stated above are better. |
No, they aren't. They're made by the same materials and the same manufacturing standards, maybe even in the same facility. The only difference is the label, nothing more.

Maybe if you felt, or wore a pair of Evisus, you would find the difference. But you can't.

You're right, you can't feel the difference in something that's made exactly the same as something else with the same materials.
I've worn Evisus, Nudies, A&F, they feel exactly the same as any other pair of decent jeans. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a very wealthy family, and I was fortunate enough to have parents who still taught me not to throw money out the window on labels. The nudies ripped in 3 days by the way, so much for them being durable.
Now I'm not saying run to walmart and grab the nearest $15 pair of jeans, as they will most likely look like shit and fit poorly, but if you're spending more than $50-60 on jeans, you're wasting it.
I tend to spend $40-60 on a shirt, and only because I get ones made of organic cotton. They're more comfortable, that's something worth paying for. But acting like your jeans that are made from the same material as any other are more comfortable, is just stupid. If you can't find comfortable jeans for $50, you're just a poor shopper.

Anyone who reads this, care to say which sites you browse? DesignByHumans and Threadless are the ones I currently know of, there are plenty more but I cbf finding them. Anyways, looking forward to recommendations toward sites similar to DBH and Threadless.

Some of the other ones that are similar to DBH and Threadless are woot.shirt!, TeeFury, TenBills, teextile, uneetee and emptees. The design styles differ between each site though.
I also visit ShirtsonSale daily. It's a blog about new T-Shirts prints.
