| ok look, you CAN go to jail for hacking certan things, data bases or leaking software (hints why that german retard got jail time for leekin halflife 2 before it was relesed, and thank god he did because the old version looked like crap) and anything that "seems" iligal will get you jail time. hacking a game(s) like maple, counterstrike, gia online, ghost online, or any of the above will not get you any jail time. EVEN hacking world of warcraft will not get you banned, aslong as its not hacking to get free wow time, then your in truble ~_^, but anyways what seems iligal most likely is. just use common sence.

Depends on how you are hacking it like it has been said before in this topic. Since the topic has grown a few pages I doubt people are reading all of it. Again, packet editing can get you in trouble, where as memory hacking will not. The memory on your system is owned by you, not the game company you play the game of. Blizzard has already tried sueing people for creating memory hacks and lost. The most they can do is catch you and ban your account.

Whenever they'll find you hacking serversided or any other in-game effect cheating you will get banned. Without warnings as you have agreed to follow the term of usage..

WTF.. the ip adress tells you nothing really. Just cuz some fucker get's into your open wireless connection and hacks something, you cannot be held responsible for that.

ok honestly....i just read this whole topic and i read about 15-20 different definitions of "hacking". And apparently it takes 5 pages to answer a simple yes or no and maybe give a reason. And we get people saying the same thing to people who don't take the time to read the topic and who don't listen. Frankly i'm annoyed just reading this and seeing people think they know what they are talking about when they don't. (I'm not talking about lab, benlue, and other people) just the people with 1 post who just say exactly what the person before them said with a couple misspelled words.
Sorry, i just had to get that off my chest. I really have nothing more to offer to this topic other then the question has been answered and everyone, i'm sure, can agree that:
1) Hacking server-sided things
2) Hacking computers
3) Hacking anything and stealing anything
4) omg..hacking anything NOT YOURS...SIMPLE....you take something..alter something..mess with something that isn't YOURS it is illegal.
Ok i'm done ranting. lol And please..don't flame me for i'm trying to point out in the most obvious way that the posts been answered..move on.
