I like ubuntu, but i think linux is kind of a duchebag when i comes to drivers/software (Yes, im a noob)

I install any Ubuntu version on my PC and everything works perfectly. When I install windows, I have to rip my house apart looking for the disk with my ethernet card's driver on it so I can get onto the internet and download sound and video drivers. Windows is kind of "duchebag" when i comes to drivers/software (No, im not a noob)

Why not just download all the drivers you need and put it on a seperate partition or usb stick? Then just install the OS and run the setups. I prefer to use n-lite to make a disk that comes pre-installed with programs I choose so it's much less time consuming to do a system restore.

On-topic: Linux (DSL for really slow computers, and ubuntu for various reasons, haven't found any reason to use any other flavor of Linux)

I like windows 7, but contrary to popular belief, you get a huge speed boost if I use windows xp instead. And vista is just bloated, ugh..
