Oh sure that's why psychologists will say. What, do you expect them to tell the kid getting bullied that he is a faggot and that is why he is getting bullied? Psychologists handle both sides of the problem. They handle the kid with the low self esteem, and then they handle the bully with the insecurity problem. On another note, there's an even stronger correlation between how low the self esteem of these bullied kids get with how much they were bullied. You spend your whole childhood being called a dumbass and by the time you grow up, you start to think it's true. This is what psychologists work to fix. As for the bully, they're insecure. They want attention, they want power that they don't have. Why do the smarter kids get bullied? The bully is jealous of their talent and tries to get over them through brute force. Bullying revolves heavily around a need for power over an individual who is better than you. Jealousy and anger, that's what makes a bully.
As for the popular vs unpopular argument, popular kids in highschool tend to be more destrutive in their life.They're most likely to turn into the thirty year old dumbass who is still trying to act like s/he is 18. As for the unpopular kids, they tend to direct their energy towards seeking acceptance of superiors(teachers, bosses, etc) than of peers who have obviously turned their back on them. As for the "socially awkward", i'm not sure what your definition of this is given that i have very different views on socially awkward than you do, but if i go by my definition, even the socially awkward have their own social groups. Anyways, this is irrelevant to bullying. But if you brought it up to state why you were better than the person in question here, it just proves how low you can get. You're trying to build a social status over the personality of another without reason. Or maybe you hold some sexual insecurities and feel the need to be better than a guy who likes furry.

This is simply not true. Like twenty/forty years ago, sure. But these days, (at least on my school), the "bullies" are all really smart people. They're certainly not jealous of anybody else's intelligence. The first thing you said is true, psychologists do want to deter people from convincing themselves they'll never be capable of anything. Remember that I'm speaking entirely of personal experience of myself and people I know, but no bullies really seek power they don't have. They don't act out of jealousy and anger. I personally am never angry. I get annoyed (very easily) and frustrated, but actual anger is a foreign emotion to me. I personally don't really see how it fits anywhere, and I never understand why other people really get angry. But, from what I do understand about anger, the people I pick on are definitely more angry and self-destructive than I am or other people that make fun of them, which may or may not be because of me.
And for the last time, no one legitimately makes fun of him for simply for being a furry, this is the internet and you find those around every corner. We make fun of him by calling a furry because it's clearly one of his insecurities. You get a reaction when you call him a furry.

You're viewing it in entirely the wrong way. I don't NEED to make fun of him to hide my insecurities, I make fun of him to, well, have fun. I don't crave the attention from him, however that doesn't mean I won't seek it. If you have a cupcake right in front of your face, of course you don't need it, you could just walk away and leave it there (well, maybe Helios couldn't because he's fat), and you'll be fine if you don't have it, but you'll take it anyway because you want it and you enjoy eating it. You're confusing need and want.

What do you mean I don't know what your post actually means? Why do you, time and time again, try to pretend as if you're at a higher level of intelligence than me? Helios, I've LITERALLY HAD TO DUMB THINGS THAT I SAID DOWN FOR YOU BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT I SAID. I have evidence too, but it's five feet away in an IDE HDD, and I would have to dig up an IDE cable to plug it in, not to mention having to open up my case and screw it in etc.

El pacco, bullying hasn't changed much at all. What you are describing is social bullying. SOCIAL, not the physical bullying that existed "twenty/forty" years ago. Hell, even phys. bullying still exists in the younger kids given that they haven't developed speech so well. Just look at a school playground and you'll find a smart kid who gets attention from his teachers being bullied by the idiot who doesn't. And yeah, bullies do seek power that they don't have, or they attempt to put themselves above the person who has it to make up for the lack of power/ability(look it up, you'll find a lot on jealousy and bullies). Annoyance and frustration = anger and anxiety. Anger and anxiety? GASP! Way to adopt more bully traits and unconscious motivators.

He's defending himself by snapping back, and he's disrupting your power over him. You react by bashing back even harder, and harder, and harder. You, El pacco, are insecure. As for the popular vs unpopular argument, popular kids in highschool tend to be more destrutive in their life.They're most likely to turn into the thirty year old dumbass who is still trying to act like s/he is 18. As for the unpopular kids, they tend to direct their energy towards seeking acceptance of superiors(teachers, bosses, etc) than of peers who have obviously turned their back on them. As for the "socially awkward", i'm not sure what your definition of this is given that i have very different views on socially awkward than you do, but if i go by my definition, even the socially awkward have their own social groups. Anyways, this is irrelevant to bullying. But if you brought it up to state why you were better than the person in question here, it just proves how low you can get. You're trying to build a social status over the personality of another without reason. Or maybe you hold some sexual insecurities and feel the need to be better than a guy who likes furry. |
This is simply not true. Like twenty/forty years ago, sure. But these days, (at least on my school), the "bullies" are all really smart people. They're certainly not jealous of anybody else's intelligence. The first thing you said is true, psychologists do want to deter people from convincing themselves they'll never be capable of anything. Remember that I'm speaking entirely of personal experience of myself and people I know, but no bullies really seek power they don't have. They don't act out of jealousy and anger. I personally am never angry. I get annoyed (very easily) and frustrated, but actual anger is a foreign emotion to me. I personally don't really see how it fits anywhere, and I never understand why other people really get angry. But, from what I do understand about anger, the people I pick on are definitely more angry and self-destructive than I am or other people that make fun of them, which may or may not be because of me.
And for the last time, no one legitimately makes fun of him for simply for being a furry, this is the internet and you find those around every corner. We make fun of him by calling a furry because it's clearly one of his insecurities. You get a reaction when you call him a furry.

You're viewing it in entirely the wrong way. I don't NEED to make fun of him to hide my insecurities, I make fun of him to, well, have fun. I don't crave the attention from him, however that doesn't mean I won't seek it. If you have a cupcake right in front of your face, of course you don't need it, you could just walk away and leave it there (well, maybe Helios couldn't because he's fat), and you'll be fine if you don't have it, but you'll take it anyway because you want it and you enjoy eating it. El pacco, bullying hasn't changed much at all. What you are describing is social bullying. SOCIAL, not the physical bullying that existed "twenty/forty" years ago. Hell, even phys. bullying still exists in the younger kids given that they haven't developed speech so well. Just look at a school playground and you'll find a smart kid who gets attention from his teachers being bullied by the idiot who doesn't. And yeah, bullies do seek power that they don't have, or they attempt to put themselves above the person who has it to make up for the lack of power/ability(look it up, you'll find a lot on jealousy and bullies). If you remove the kid getting picked on from the situation, and the bully finds another victim, sure, he just might be the insecure one. However, if he doesn't pick on other people (provided there isn't another really big idiot that would be picked on regardless if the other kid was there or not), then clearly the bully isn't insecure, as he's perfectly content without the need for picking on someone. Oh sure that's why psychologists will say. What, do you expect them to tell the kid getting bullied that he is a faggot and that is why he is getting bullied? That's also why they tell socially-awkward kids that the "popular kids" are at the peak of their life in high school, and that after that they're life will only get worse, while the socially-awkward kids will have a peak in their twenties and throughout their thirties. Psychologists handle both sides of the problem. They handle the kid with the low self esteem, and then they handle the bully with the insecurity problem. On another note, there's an even stronger correlation between how low the self esteem of these bullied kids get with how much they were bullied. You spend your whole childhood being called a dumbass and by the time you grow up, you start to think it's true. This is what psychologists work to fix. As for the bully, they're insecure. They want attention, they want power that they don't have. Why do the smarter kids get bullied? The bully is jealous of their talent and tries to get over them through brute force. Bullying revolves heavily around a need for power over an individual who is better than you. Jealousy and anger, that's what makes a bully.

But you do find another victim. Look at RS, the "newfags" always get bashed on. If it's not some poor kid who just comes in from an introduction, it's another member who wasn't liked and was seen as "just another dumbass to pick on when our target leaves". We have plenty of these people here. I have no doubt that these people are insecure, but I have no doubt that you are insecure as well. As I said already, psychologists look at both sides of the problem. Since I'm addressing you, then I think you can take a shot at guessing which side I'm addressing.
