The new "fad" most played genre right now is Dance/Rave?Hip-Hop dance songs. SO big this includes Lady GaGa, ke$ha, Deadmu5, david guetta, most drake songs, jay sean (down),
Slutty pop music, Justin Bieber, and among the 'alternative'* scene, new realms of metalcore, and such are being explored. Check out Black Veil Bride's Knives and Pens for example.
*Not really alternative, but more emo types who buy alternative labeled clothing. _________________

If you take your time, you can really find some good Metalcore bands out there. I'm not really into many music genres, simply because it all sounds the same IMO, and metalcore is just a little different. _________________

I actually do like a lot of metalcore, as well as many other genres, such as synthpop, extratone, classical and death metal. I was just talking about what I think is becoming popular. _________________
