Sounds pretty nice on my "shitty" $30 Ear Pollutions. | yeah and ones that cost more than $30 will sound even better, especially with an amp
also I agree with cryoma, tho 2k is a bit high id say $400+ (no amp), and id disagree with skullcandies too, theres just better brands

The cost isn't an indicator of how good it is, I mean, look at Beats by Dre or Turtle Beach.

What's the point in paying $70 more for something that sounds a bit better? Songs already sound nice and these serve the required purpose; listening to music and not feeling a need to change. I guess it's not a waste if you really enjoy it, but personally, really don't see the need in it.

Duh. I'm just saying $20 Sony and $20 Skullcandy ear buds can hardly be compared.
I spent a lot of money on great headphones and a great amp so ofc. I know this.

Skullcandy headphones are awesome because of how cheap they are, for what you get. Also lifetime warranty. But almost every pair I've had has been rather uncomfortable.

You pay for shit and you get shit but if your shit breaks you can always get some more free shit to replace the broken shit.

I would I could get new releases and support with them. And like I said, headphones for $30 do the job the same for me and I don't feel the need to hear tiny details; I'm content, like I said, you're welcome to buy headphones if the slight difference bugs you, but I'm not into it.

My "fun" rig makes people's jaw drop in my class, it's that good. And more often then not they immediately regret whatever their current setup is.
Archos 48, 500gb(or my cowon Q5 if I really want to impress) -> ZOv2.3 amp -> Vmoda M80s
Altogether, the rig costs ~500-530 dollars. 200 for the archos, 100 for the amp, 200 or 230 for the phones. And I don't regret a single penny because it sounds like audio nirvana and I spend at LEAST 4 hours a day listening to music, errday. So no, I don't have $2k senns, and I honestly wouldn't want them. And if anyone would honestly try to argue their ipod -> $30 phone challenged my set, i'd laugh in their face. I don't need to spend 3k on gear, no, but I definitely can't settle for cheap ass phones anymore with the source and amp I have.
I'm getting these iems to try something new basically. dual BA drivers are something I've never heard before. It's sound sig is unlike any of my other phones. And anything will be a likely upgrade over my meelecs.

Dude I have like, $250 sennheisers and they beat anything I've ever listened to. Except for some huge fantastic speakers a friend of mine had.
And that's only because you could feel the bass drop on your chest when you listened to dubstep.

It's sad, you make a joke like that, but honestly. This has been my zune's background since the day I got it.
And I have the archos because the 500gb and a ~25 hour battery life constantly playing music, and the cowon because...well it's a cowon. There's nothing else that sounds like it.
@grim heaper
Nice. Which senns? And have you ever tried a zo amp? They're just...fucking amazing honestly. Paired with my M80s and a slightly EQ's up treble from my archos, it's amazing.
