There's no way in hell that we're the only hyperintellegent lifeforms in the universe. Our universe has billions of galaxies in which MUST contain at least a few life-sustaining planets each. even if they do exist, there is still the improbability of our species meeting them any time soon. It is physically impossible to travel at lightspeed, and the long distances between galaxies require that kind of pace. The closes thing to lightspeed we've gotten is an unmanned satellite about the size of your leg and made of light aluminum that travels just under lightspeed. The reason it travels so fast is because its mass is so small that momentum literally just spins it out of orbit.
