I'm not sure why, but you seem to be arguing with me about that idea that I'm saying people SHOULDN'T have related things in their icons or names, which, oddly enough, isn't something I ever said or implied. I'd have to be a serious moron to say that.

Similarly, I never said it should be plain text, nor that you should spend some time on it. I did say it should be relatively simplistic, but in the icon/logo world, a gradient with a little bit of shine added to it is the 'simplistic' look that icons tend to look for. And considering I was supporting what his icon looked like, it becomes harder to believe that I was saying anything like this.

And just to throw a few more out there...

I don't see how people would see 'C', 'C++' etc to have anything to do with... anything. Same with 'Delphi'(it's a location), 'perl'(sounds like jewelry), etc.

Firefox(doesn't make sense, nor does Mozilla), Opera...

Anyway, blah blah blah, self-proclaimed 'guru' just give in and admit I'm right >_> And if you're still convinced I'm not, re-read my post until you read it correctly so you understand just how right I am(because, as CrisNMP said, in the end you've been feeding my fire with at least 50% of all your posts so far)

By the way -- for the piano idea: I know the image was a rough idea sketching, but the way you made it makes them look much more like upside-down weird teeth. Instead, try making the white spaces actually resemble the white spaces of a keyboard, and have the black of what I'll call the 'goob' only come down for the thin line separators between the keys and the black keys(the sharp/flat keys).

Remember that when using vectors, a 1px line will scale down to a 1px line, so you don't have to worry as much that your thin line will disappear(or just look like a nasty anti-alias job) when you shrink down to size like you would in a bitmap.

Though that could give the impression that your product composes music instead of listens to it or uploads it. I think it'd look nicer and more immediately-obvious, but that likely misconception could be deadly.

I may have just not recognized the idea because it was a rough sketch anyway Smile

I'd assumed that was just a derivative of Goob. (Like a Goob for images, music, maybe link redirections, videos, etc)
