Why bother spending so much on a case when you are on a budget?

irreverent, 2.0 to 2.1 have virtually no difference in GPU bandwidth

If you're trying to bring it around or under $600, I'd really go AMD with a Phenom. You don't even have to get the X6, just get an X4 (or that X4 that unlocks to an X6).

Those are not on the market atm
Fuck, even a X3 work well for gaeming, unless you are running at hardcore resolution and try to play Crysis 2 or Aion@extremepopulatedserver
A normal X4 is still plenty. My Athlon X4 and 4870 takes absolutely anything I throw at it (except Crysis) at highest settings, but Crysis is a shitty game anyway once you get past the pretty colors, so I didn't even play that for more than 20 minutes. So I guarantee a Phenom X4 + 5770/whatever you recommended he get will be golden.

Yes, the voltage tweaking is nice for a 5xxx series with such nice headroom unlike 5770 vapor x with voltage locked.

One of my friends JUST said that. I just need to see if it's compatible with the mobo.

Alright and then if there was an EVGA 9800 GTX instead, what would work with it and the mobo?

Yeah like those who ask do you have monitors that support windows 7?

Also there are some changes to them graphic cards, look at them carefully and even if your may never use it. Paying for something, does not mean stripped features.
