I'd have to say Nerdcore, alot of nerdcore artist are sprouting out of nowhere and there getting pretty big.

Really, I think pop is very growing, because today's generation is going to be fast which pop music give. Classical music is also popular but it's not popular more than pop. Very few people like classical music.

For me music is music, grew up with all kind of music. If it sounds good in my ears, i don't care what kind of genre it is. I can listen to everything from pure rap to rock as long as it sounds good. I consider uhm, Goo Goo Dolls as rock and 2pac as a rapper. But i can also listen to blues from Seal, Easy listening from John Mayer (acoustic-blues), Timbaland R&B and finally a new genre Trip-Hop(kinda new on this one). Missed bunch of other funky genres. but still, does it matter ?

Unfortunately, pop and really light alternative rock. I'm sorry to say that the era of Led zeppelin up to corn and slightly later is forever lost and replaced by the Jonas' brothers and Justin beiber in the newer generations of people.
