The fact that they lost 3 billion is because it is in high demand in the market. They're losing money because it costs more to build the console than the price that they are selling it at. Therefore, the more they sell, the more money they lose. And because they lost so much, they probably so a lot of consoles.

Beside companies don't make much money off of selling a consle caz most of the $ comes from royalties from games.

Almost EVERY game comes out for the PC eventually.
So Why spend 900+ dollars on the next gen consoles PLUS games.
PC's - Games torrentable, cheaper to manage.

They make all their money on games. Really, if you wanted a top of the line graphics card/mobo/etc for cheap, dismantle an Xbox or PS3. Drivers may not work properly however.
