I'm glad to hear discussing multiplayer cheating is not allowed here
Looking at the posts again it seems that the OP Mathew was talking about singleplayer (his screenshots appear to be singleplayer but it's hard to tell). Poppi is the only one to mention multiplayer from what I can see.

Yes, in many games cheating/modding is not available. In our case we'd like to provide these options to players, and encourage people to suggest features they'd like to see. I have absolutely no problem with people trying to cheat/hack the game for singleplayer purposes, but if the cheat is something that might be commonly wanted then we'll consider implementing it into the game.

I agree with you wrote about the fun of solving puzzles. The KaM Reamke (the game discussed here) is a fan recreation (from scratch) of an original game, so we had to spend a lot of time decoding and testing the original game in order to use the resource files and create the same behaviour, that was rewarding in itself
