| OP was TRYING to ask why people like others who all wear the same shit, instead he used some stupid fucking saying that doesnt make sense in the context hes using it in, the word he used "hype beast" refers to only someone buying clothing and accessories to impress others, which is redundant, almost all clothing and accessories is to impress others, what OP should have said was "I have no fucking idea how trends or being popular works, please tell me" in which case we'd tell him to fuck off.

while i agree that the term "hype beast" was retarded, i don't think it was redundant, but merely refers to clothes bought and worn almost explicitly for social status, ie., abercrombie, aeropostale, etc. |

I purchased a pair of Gucci shoes and I must say that I'm quite happy with the product that I received. No one really cares, I get complements on how nice they are sometimes but that's about it.
