@OP MSI, definitely a recommendation.
I have an MSI GT683R and it's just so lovely. Never overheats (for me at least), beast of a cooling system.

Also you'll never have to crack Windows on it, for whatever reason, even if you completely wipe your hard-drive and do a fresh reinstall. The laptop knows.

I had that problem as well, deciding between ASUS and MSI was difficult, but I went with MSI because they make good GPU cooling and stuff.
I can only vouch for MSI in this case.

So uh. I was actually going to go with Up2's suggestion because I managed to convince my parents to stretch how much I'd be alowd to spend a bit and it looked like a fantastic laptop. Problem is, it's out of stock:
