Anyways, I do not think Java is a bad idea for game design, due to it's portability and how fun it is! Plus like I said it can play in your browser or on your computer or both! Graphics aren't that good, but it's not the graphics that make the game. Just look at Mario

I'm going to try and stay away from game libraries because I want to show this game for my Computer Science class.

also, probably one of the best sources you'll find for graphics stuff is the OGL and DX documentation. invaluable stuff there for anyone wanting to learn 3d.
