Is there a option called Load fail safe defaults or just regular defaults?
If yes, try that and the floppy is enabled by default.

Loaded fail safe defaults and it did some memory test thing which took forever. CD drive still doesn't work though. Grrrr this is such a hassle.

Uninstall the drive (device manager and uninstall) shut down, unplug it, boot up, shut down, plug back in, (turn off floppy drives in bios) and then boot up

The drive doesn't show up in device manager. Those two that are shown are from Daemon Tools.

Try plugging the drive into another port, use a different cable. And verify if the bios sees the drive.

How do I do that? If you're talking about the '1st boot device' etc, yeah I can select it.

Sorry for the flash, but my computer does detect the CD drive. When I start it up I see it (attached). I tried to use my old CD drive as well, same result.

It's an OS problem, use a system restore before this started happening.

Oh wow, in BIOS make sure it says ATA/ATHPI for sata stuff or whatever NOT IDE. That will solve it.

No. I've had this Windows 7 for about a year. It's been doing this for about 3 weeks. When I installed Windows XP (to see if I'd get better FPS in a game) I had to install my drivers, I used my abit cd it came with. At the same time, it doesn't work for Windows 7.

I have an IP35-Pro, where do I find that option at?

| Exactly. To roll back would be to nothingness. The OS is brand new installed.

Nonononono. I've been using this OS for like a year. CD drive worked fine up until 3 weeks ago. Although doing a system restore is something I really don't want to do.

To change your hard drives to ATA/ATHI mode, it should be Bios> management, where you can choose the boot order, or advance bios setting, then you should see hard drive mode.
Just dick around and don't save the bios, is fine.
