no it doesn't. compression artifacts are not anti-aliasing.

No, it does. Well, the quality settings make it look like antialiasing sometimes, but it isn't actually antialiasing. My bad, worded it badly.

It's not anti-aliased, it's simply LQ. Remember, JPG is a bad file-type for most things, and you should generally try to stay away from it. It's really only good when making low file-size work that needs to look decent. You should stick with PNG.
