It would probably run you around $450-$500 in Canada. So 300-340 euros.

I found something like this for $525.

http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=10140ST4564&vpn=PT.SCR02.018&manufacture=ACER

But the CPU is slightly faster, 2GB more RAM, and the harddrive is 110GB larger.

Its cheap but its acer
personally i think acer is shit

many store representatives also told me not to go with acer, very poor quality of service

I wouldn't go with Acer laptops. They're flimsy and break after a year or two.

But their desktops are okay.

My aspire one netbook has been going a year now. Been ripped apart a few times. Added a little more ram. Has 2 stickers on it for windows xp and the atom processor, and it says acer on the top like any laptop would. It also HAD a almost vanilla copy of xp home, but I put on xp pro.

Not entirely true. A lot have 512mb ram onboard, and 1 slot. Thats how mine is. It can only have 1.5gb max as a limitation. I could put a 2gb stick in, but I would lose 512mb ram in the process.
