I'm pretty sure only one card controls all Eyefinity. That's why there's loads of DisplayPort connectors. The black bezels around all the monitors are annoying enough to turn me down from them though, and the fact that you have to buy quite a few monitors. Even at $150 a piece, that's still $450, and the high resolution will be a bit difficult to pump out at max settings, even for a card packing a lot of muscle.

I'd wait until GT300 releases in 2-4 weeks. From the specs, it looks as if it has double the performance from the GT200 architecture. Worth waiting a bit to see if any prices change.

not buying till black friday.
and it would be for peripheral vision, they would be angled so the bezels wont make much of a difference.

I agree. I really wouldn't use multiple monitors for gaming (unless you intend on having one monitor in-game and the other one just normal or in IRC or something like that). Games aren't made for mutliple monitors, and will probably end up looking weird.

what.

most modern games will scale to practically any ratio / resolution. in the ones that don't, all that needs to be adjusted is the FOV setting.

No no no no, not like that. I mean the gameplay. The devs don't expect a large percent of the game's players to be using 3+ monitors (because, of course, hardly any will). I mean the way the games are set up. 3 monitors would end up just being weird. I mean, consider why monitors/TVs and everything has slowly transformed into widescreen. It is because your physical vision isn't a square. However, the way those are set up, there is a higher horizontal to vertical ratio than your actual vision.

the enormous FOV required does create a weird image skew in pictures, though it's much more natural looking when you're actually sitting there, supposedly.

brain magic i guess.
