Ok, apparently there's numerous endings and the version I saw was probably the weakest of them all.
1. she obviously kills micah, she's completely fucking possessed, hurls him at that camera after dragging him up the stairs, then looks at it with a contorted face
2. same, except no micah hurling. slits her throat infront of the camera.
3. same, except she ends up being shot

No, it's definitely not bad.
A decent movie for sure.
Actually I rewatched the ending and there are somethings I missed that I liked:
The fucking door and lights turn on as the police are coming into the house. The door in the back slams shut just before Katie gets killed by the police, I assume the door slamming spooked them into firing. Not sure, but subtle. I saw the light but didn't see it slam the first time.

I saw this the other day, it wasn't the best ever, still quite good though. What makes it special is that it was made in just one week, on a $10,000 budget, from what I'm told! 
My ending was........that she killed Micah, came back upstairs looking all spaced out, and then just sat there rocking back and forth for about a day. We hear a woman come round, she screams, and then gets killed by something? Then much later the police come, then Katie got shot.

It's made over $35,000,000.

It didn't get remade like everone thinks. They were going too, but the original screening did so well they just reworked some of the effects / sound.
I think the alternate ending (aka the one I saw) was better after rewatching it / seeing the other one. Was a more subtle, lingering spook rather than a cheesy scare they gave away in the trailer.

Hope you can get a good quality bootleg.
I'm going to see it soon because everyone says its so scary :\
I've seen quite some horror movies in my day however so I doubt it will scare me.

I have seen the movie and all the three alternative ending. I didn't find it scary at all. Also, it's a movie like The Blair Witch Project. It's made to look real but it's fake.
SPOILER: (Highlight to see it.)
The girl kills the guy with a knife in every ending. She gets shot by cops in the original ending, disappears in the alternative and I forgot what happened in the second alternative ending.
