Depends, what you're buying, I guess...The 1 cent item I got with $2.98 shipping was a DVD, so I bet that changes with much larger items.

I bought a broken laptop computer that had some parts I wanted for 1 cent. It cost 25 bucks shipping. I found out that I could have gotten the same thing for 17 dollars, 4 dollars shipping.
