ok.

A seeder is someone who has the complete file.

A leecher is someone who are currently downloading the file.

If there are no seeders you simple cannot download the complete file (tho you can download as far as the leechers have downloaded)

are they just constant uploading that rapes your internet connection which never ends?

i b so dumb ._.

i used to think seeding meant just uploading the entire file back >_>

like lets say i downloaded a 100mb file, then i thought that utorrent would seed untill 100mb are uploaded again >_>
