The stuff I chose will work, and there are no problems from what I see, although the power supply might be too small (350W). The CPU I chose won't fit in your motherboard, and vice versa. Everything else should work together (my RAM will fit in your motherboard, and my GPU will fit in your motherboard), but my choice should yield 4-6 times more performance in terms of FPS.
Is 1027x768 a typo?
In Crysis, you should be capable of playing at the highest possible setting without any AA or AF with my choice (both the E2180 and the E7200 should be capable of doing it). With your choice, medium settings, with a few settings high at the most. |
Ok, so the RAM is the problem, and a better computer is not too much more than what I had.
Yes it is a typo.
Crysis at highest settings with an 8800 + all that? What would you think FPS I would get? 1024x768 of course.

I think you'll get 35-40 FPS average.
You'll have to check on the power supply (see if it provides enough energy), and if your other parts will work (for example, your optical drive might use PATA/EIDE, but your motherboard might not have the interface).

400W should be enough. I'm not entirely sure that your computer would run on a 350W PSU. If you want to be safe, get a 400W PSU. I'm running a much more power-hungry setup on a 400W PSU, and it's all great. The point is, it either isn't enough power, or you'll be cutting it really close.

alright. how could i figure how much cpu im getting?
also, i may need a fan or something stronger than the current fan(s) in my computer because when i opened my computer for the first time in awhile (i leave it on standby at night), it was extremely hot but after awhile with the case open, it cooled off.

Clarify your question.
Are your fans dusty? You might want to try cleaning them out. CPUs normally operate from 30C-45C (about 86F-113F) while idling, so I guess you can rate it as "extremely hot".

It would just be easier to buy a new computer or build one yourself

Little update:
My dad's friend found a combo deal on newegg that will get me the same video card and different ram (2 GB still), and for about 40$ cheaper. The RAM will fit though.
Also, how much are Power supplys around 400W that will fit? lol if it has anything to do with fitting.
