It'd probably be a pretty slow process.

Or a high one with a high cpu usage. For example, you could speed the process up by 4 times, by using 4 threads, each one scanning a quarter of the screen over and over. However, you could use multiple threads like stated above if you don't mind your program raping people's cpu.

hehe thats a good idea:P

No it's not. >__>

Everything has a reference in the memory, all you need to do is to find it... We could use some elaboration about the target.

I believe he intends on making the target customisable.

yes. thats right.
now im experimenting if its lagging to scan the whole screen in 4-6 seperate threads.
hope there is a better way other than pixels

I did. It's highly inefficient.

Already been suggested, but thanks for the link? Sorry, that was a bit harsh.

Look into using bitmaps, it will be MUCH faster.

However you will still have to compare pixels, just from a bmp instead of the screen directly.

In reply to that, I'm almost certain that however you find the picture, you MUST search through the pixels of something to do so. However more efficient you make the process, you will still have to search pixel by pixel.

I think there is another way to do it with directx which is faster , I'll search for it .

Maybe I didn't explain mysself well...
My question is what exactly are you trying to do? Because there are methods to make things easier for certain, yet different tasks. Right now, the way I see it, the scan you're talking about could be related to anything - from RapidShare image analyzing to finding the location of a texture in a game.

I'm assuming he is going to add some sort of boss/monster finder with an alert for when it spawns, for MapleStory to add to his trainer.

yes almost samething.
im adding a GM alert which is essential for KMS since their gm never goes invisible.

There is a pointer that shows you how many red dots there are on the mini map:
Scan a dump of the client for the following array:
Code:
53 56 8b f1 8b 48 08
The dword infront of it is the pointer base, it's offset is supposed to be 18 if I recall correctly(and if ofcourse it hasn't changed). If the pointer's offset has changed, a simple scan should resolve it.

Do the GMs always look the same in the korean version? The only thing I've noticed all GMs to have in common is the GM sign above their heads. If you're trying to find that, iirc, it's got some transparency+animation to it which would make this much more difficult.
