No need for a 1GB GFX Card.
You can play most games pumped up to max settings with 512. (Not Crysis).
A 1GB card will have to have a really nice PSU, or your fucked.
And I would get a sli mobo, and get 1 512 for now and get one of the sli mobo that supports tri sli. then if you ever need to boost it up by then 512 cards will be cheaper and better Smile and you can have 3 x 512 is 1.5gbs.

Gotta outsmart the competion? eh?

Er no, it would likely barely increase the power the card draws.

And you can't add video memory like that.
