the sticky is microsoft Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 ... but the tut uses C++ version 6 will it still be allright?

the stickys i went to tuts on C++ and the first one said vid tuts......

i might get lost in thew tut anyone have a better one?

as you go learning C++, don't forget to keep yourself calm. time will come that you'll be in a deep confusion and you don't know what to do, just take a break and buy a coke -relax- then go back. In my 1-month (Full time) experience of learning i cannot even count how many times i hit my head on the wall. Embarassed

hehe! maybe i don't have the talent but atleast i put so much effort on it.

but hey, it really feels good when you find a solution to the problem -lets you wanna say -"YAHOOO, im GENIUS!"-

learning C++ is acually fun for me and easy to understand......lol

But im having a problem with microsoft visual C++ 2008 i can't press the compiler button even thought i put codes in it whats going on?

I started with C++ then went to C++.NET/C#.NET then finally back to functional C++ programming..

bumpy road, my compiler woudnt work with c++ for months... until i remormatted. id say ive been coding in C++ for... maybe 3 or 4 months total? but i dont know everything, no one does. I frequently go to MSDN and check API's and how they work.

So stick with C++, you'll get it soon enough. Even if you have to check references every once in a while.

Version 6 of MSVC (or VS for that matter) is outdated and no longer supported by Microsoft since VS2003 was released. You should make the update to 2005/2008 as it has introduced a whole new version of secure functions, thread safe function, etc. It is all worth the updating.

You dont have to memorize the api parameters. I dont remember alot of the parameters but as long as you know what to call you can google it and msdn will have the necessary params.
