Can't you use FreeDOS if you do not install an OS?

I'm so lost on this topic at this point. Does he mean he wants to keep it as a storage drive or what? If so, then yes he could format it in DOS, but he could just as easily do it in his OS on the main drive.
Or are you trying to wipe the drive to get rid of it.

That's zeroing the drive and isn't quite the same as formatting.

6gb is more than enough for win 95/98. we've got this crappy computer that's got a 1gb hdd, 64 or 128 ram, pentium 1 lol.
