laser & wireless sucks (needs to much batteries).. and it's hard to get laser with cable |
What? I have an optical mouse with a cord, only costed me $11 USD... | Note to you and others: an optical mouse isn't the same as a laser one.
Ontopic: sure I do use a pad. It's smooth, my mouse glides nicely on it, etc. Comparing my pad and this wooden surface, the pad totally beats wood.

I got laser, wired. and yes i do use mouse pad because its smoother (which i need for shooting games to get a hs without my mouse bumping up and being rough. also so the plastic things under the mouse dont run out as quick making it rough.

Wire and ball here and at home, no pad though, mostly because this desk here is crammed full of shit and I can barely move the mouse anyway. Pad at home, helps quite a bit sometimes.

I have a mx510 that is falling apart. I used to have those little slick ass feet for it, but I eventually wore through all of them. At that point in time, it slid like ice.
Now I have worn through the feet entirely all the way to the plastic, sort of worn away some of the mouse pad and it has sort of formed some kind of super mousing surface. The amount of friction is utterly perfect, just enough to stay smooth, but just enough to stay in control. Apparently my hardcore usage over time has changed the molecular structure of the pad itself into some sort of super-natural surface fit for gods and kings.
It's all about the worn down func pad + mx510 with no feet at all.
