No. It's fairly easy, I tried not too long ago and it was a piece of cake. _________________

Many newer PSU (powersupplys) are "multicompatible" with almost every types of motherboards, graphic cards and hard drives.
i wold reccomend a "North Q" PSU, they deliver the amount they promis, and (depending on model) pretty silent, and a compatible with all recent standards.
A psu of 400w or more should be able to power:
1 midrange GPU (8800gt/gts 8600gts/gt)
1-2 harddrives.
1 dual core CPU
1 CD/DVD drive
1-2 chassis fans (80mm)
0 neon (my oppinion because i hates NEON)
My 5 cent. |

The 8800 is not a midrange card. _________________

8800 is a series of multiple card, from the "8800gts 320bs" to "8800 Ultra".
8800gts320 isent a werry powerful card, compared to the ultra, therefore i worte "8800gt/gts" that excluded the GTX and ultra model, that is a High end card IMO. |

Well that's in your opinion, but the 8800 cards are high end cards. By the way, the GTS version of the card offers 3 versions: 320MB, 512MB and 640MB.
EDIT: Fixed mistake. _________________

Yes, I made a small mistake, it's 640MB and not 768MB, for the GTS verision. But! There's a new version of the GTS that comes with 512MB. _________________

Well, you're right, the 8800GT is the best bang for the buck, but the new 8800GTS is supposed to be as good as the GTX version and ranging from 300-350$ You can already pre-order the card, but it costs more then it was expected to be, in Future Shop, the card goes for around 460$, so it better be amazing. But for my self, I'm waiting till the 9 series. I bought a 8800GT from a friend for 95$, it should last me till the 9 series come out. _________________

so did people siad when 7series came out...
"nooo ill wait for the 8series, skip the 7 series..."
Ill jsut wait 4-5 month and buy when they lauch a kickass card cheap, like the 8800GT...
And then go SLI a month or two later. |
