actually, the hong kong government uses VB6 for whatever apps they bundle with their public computers...
so they DO have a use, but mostly based on the fact that VB6 can do simple things much quicker than other languages. trade-off

Lazy C++ programmers? I'm not a lazy C++ programmer, hell, I'm not even a C++ programmer, I'm simply a C# programmer. |
Sorry, I should correct that to: For the people who are too lazy to learn C/C++.

Because typing "DIM" every 3 lines is VERY quick, isn't it?

for those who dare using vb6... would not be real programmers. dimming is for expert non-programmers. others just skip the dimming part and pretend they dont need to do it
and no, that's not necessarily the only point im trying to make and you KNOW what you are doing is just repeating what other posts have said. please stop arguing about vb6 now because its old, useless (advanced saying) and whatever else you might want to imply. i totally give up and yes you are right. you win. i have no more points to argue with you. now you can win a paralympics trophy from some other competition which im not in.
just in case you can only give sniping comments but not accepting any, do not take this post seriously.

Typing Dim is no different then declaring a local variable in any other language.
VB5/6
| Code: | | Dim bBlah as Boolean |
C/C++

And Delphi is sort of easy too... VB is *near* worthless!
