We're all lying, well, I didn't know I was, but I was falsly taught the laws of RAM | http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/Understanding-Impact-RAM-Overall-System-Performance.html wrote: | | The fact that 32-bit systems only have 32-bits of data to work with means that they can only address up to 4 GB of RAM. A 64-bit system on the other hand could theoretically address up to 16 exabytes of RAM (That’s over 16,000,000 GB of RAM). |

which is why you get 64 bit retard |
64Bit was a bad idea, you need a fucked up bad slow-ass processor for it, and even with X64 XP you will get no hacking, and you can still only see 4GB, so, say hi to failcat on your way out for me! |
Try not to talk about things you know nothing about, you're embarrassing yourself. I don't even know which point to pick on you for, because you didn't even get anything right.
So, let's address them all. 8GB SDRAM is equal to 8GB DDR, and 8GB DDR2. The physical capacity does not change due to the interface.
Next, 64-bit was not by any means a bad idea, the industry was just slow to adopt it due to a lack of usefulness by the average consumer.
You don't need a slow processor to run a 64-bit operating system. All modern processors are 64-bit, and they run 64-bit code equally or faster than they run 32-bit code, or than a 32-bit processor would run equivalent 32-bit code.
You can hack just fine with 64-bit XP, seeing as I've done it, you just need different tools to do so. People are afraid of change, and that's why 64-bit is "bad" to them.
Also, 64-bit XP isn't limited to 4GB RAM. I'm not sure where you got that from, I'm assuming you just pulled it out of your ass, seeing as Microsoft's documentation clearly shows it addresses 128GB of RAM.
Also, 32-bit operating systems aren't limited to 3.5GB of RAM, random numbers pulled out of your ass again. A 32-bit operating system can address a total of 4GB RAM, including the VRAM. So if you have a 256MB video card, you will have 3.75GB of usable system RAM, whereas a system with a 1GB video card would be able to address 3GB of system RAM. There isn't any set number like the 3.5GB you pulled out of your ass, it's entirely dependent on the system. Regardless, you've obviously never heard of PAE anyway so I won't even touch that one.
Say hi to failcat for me.

| even if u had over 9000 hexabyte of ram you could only use 3.6 gb. thats the max for 32 bit systems.
