Hello, CEF community. I would like to bring to the discussion a something that my friend call "taking inspiration" from other peoples work. I think everyone here is familiar with it. It's always sad to see when part of your work end up in some paid (or filled with ads) trainer and you don’t even get credits for it.

I'm sure everyone here knows what is Wemod Infinity, because you can find a link to it almost in every single STN’s post. But if for some reason you still don’t know I’ll explain: Basically Infinity is a trainer downloader

I noticed that "Wemod / Infinity" We Happy Few trainer is very similar to my cheat engine table. I had bad feeling about it so I downloaded "Infinity" and decided to check their trainer. And I noticed very interesting things.

Infinity using the same injection points as this table. I would say even more. They are using the same scripts. First let me start with the fact that I'm not very experienced and most of the time I'm just using very shitty and simple methods. There is no way that someone would go the same way as I do in order to script these stuff.

But let see (Feel free to download "We Happy Few" and check my table and Infinite Trainer on your own):

For the "Fly mode” I use this byte pattern: 48 8B 01 FF 90 C0 04 00 00 84 C0 75




To register a symbol here and then I use offset 178 for the actual pointer in my table that points to the basic Unreal Engine Ephysics (the "Fly", "Walk" flag that everyone who ever used Unreal Engine console should be familiar with).

There are many other "proper" methods to activate the same value, but nope.

For game Speed I use following byte pattern:

to use it with 4e8 offset for the pointer.

Not the best method again and there is millions of other ways to script it. But nope. Infinite uses the same injection point again:

The teleport... Please look at the script I use and my teleport pointer. If two cases above is still coincidence there is no way that other person who wrote his teleport hack from zero would use the same method as me:

The last two Pox's scripts are not something that you can find with simple value scan. They are result of backtracing, code analyzing etc... So yeah. Blatant Copy - Paste.

Why spending hours making everything from zero when you can just open public cheat engine table from this forum, get stuff from it, reshape and release a “brand new trainer”, right?

Don't be surprised Phokz, they've claimed they have coded their entire framework themselves from the ground up and used no one else's code but you can easily see tons of copy pasted stuff from various sources, mainly Cheat Engine. I've pointed out a few things already to Dark Byte that is clearly copied from the repo (they even left debug messages and such intact that helped provide even further proof lol..).

The game hacking world is full of rippers / copy-pasters when it comes to money. If they have a business model and can profit off others work, they are going to. Every currently active site that handles cheats and money do it. Don't be surprised. Very few sites do their own stuff truly on their own. The single player cheat community is full of rippers, I'd suggest you either get used to it or don't post tables / protect your work in some manner. Use custom watermarking in your injections to spot things that you can be positive are yours.

The response you got from STN is typical when you call them out on things like that. They will immediately try and bash you / call you names etc. because you call their bluff. Just ignore him, he'll just keep doing what he does regardless.

Meh, atomos/wiccaan is still butthurt because he's responsible for shutting down Extalia, Radiance, Gamehacking/CES and i bet even Cheat engine forums if he ever had the chance and i am the only one who calls him out on this. I have never mentioned how infinity works because infinity isn't my program to begin with, i have had zero to do with its coding but i am just a trainer-maker.

I'm interested in the comparison of ce and infinity/wemod.

In the context of this topic, highest similarity is that both are trainer/game hack releasing platform, the other roles involved are the cheat user and cheat maker.

ce does not enforce anything on user and maker except probably via the license, but it seems nothing tell how a maker releasing his hack. They can make cheat with ce as a tool, convert to another script format, release the cheat in infinity/wemod or cosmos or similar. Releasing platform probably never a ce significant consideration during development.

Just from infinity/wemod ui, forgive my wild guess, that releasing platform is their primary purpose. From STN's post, the NDA thing seems suggest that infinity/wemod have some management on its cheat makers, that may implied some responsibility on their makers releasing. For example, do wemod have some QA control, eg remove any outdated/naive hacks? Has restriction on releasing certain catergory, said, on-line game hack? etc.

"We happy few" send out a virtual "FUCK YOU" to all this bullshit. It's fucking simple: a) you want to use someone's work into yours, ask for permission; a.1.) you get permission, use it and credit the person; a.2.) you don't, think of alternate ways to do it, not using the same fucking hook (here's a lil' bone: debug the fucking code and choose an alternate spot out of EVERYTHING that accesses that memory address of yours).

What Phokz is saying, no matter the "victim", sooner or later it will get out in the open and threads like these surface. He's put it very clearly that the possibility of identical injections to happen for 2 or more people is close to nil and I support that. Problem here is the fact that time isn't the friend of trainer makers (or whatever they call themselves), as these sites compete on the # of releases and time it takes from game release date or user request till completion. "I was first" is the fucking motto they live by and gloat and also the reason these immature e-wars exist.

Back to the topic, we all understand STiNGERR is not STN. He's apologized. He explained why he did it (I really don't care how you judge his explanations, excuse or not - he said something at least). So, now, can we all get back to our shit? Can we please stop cascading from the thread's subject to personal wars no one's interested in and can't really FEEL your struggle? Reading this thread from top to bottom, I lost track of the real subject here, as one thing leads to another and there's always room for debate.

Hey guys, I am the co-founder and main developer of WeMod and Infinity. Phokz, I apologize that your cheat table was ripped and used in Infinity. That is unacceptable to me, the WeMod team, and of course the entire game hacking community. I talked with Stingerr, and I can assure you this won't happen again.

There's a lot of hate between people in the community. Hate that predates me by years, so I'm not going to get involved with that. But I want to make something very clear: I do NOT condone the stealing of code or cheat tables. I take a lot of pride in my work, as does the rest of the team. This incident is isolated to one team member only, and that's how it should stay.

Atom0s, there is only one part of our framework that was not coded by me, and that's the assembler that gets injected into the game with the trainer. The reason I did not code this myself is because it was added to Infinity at the last minute when STN joined the team. Infinity was originally developed to not use scripts at all. That being said, Infinity 2.0 is being released in the upcoming weeks, and it includes our own assembler, coded by us with the help of an open source library. So please do not accuse our "framework" of being copied/ripped, because that is simply not true and is unfair to us.

I just wanted to come in here and respond that it's refreshing for someone to admit that work was ripped, well at least ONE member of WEMOD admitted it.

As for Cheathappens being brought up in this discussion, we have nothing to do with it. And I can say with 100 certainty my trainer template is my own. We don't really 'employ' STINGERR and if any of his trainers are 'copied' and people have proof, we welcome it and will remove them.
