They also say they enhance thinking outside the box.
If you're a miserable man just escaping reality, as well as your teen years all while struggling with high school and burning your parent's hard earned cash, that's all you'll see. Because I looked in the mirror, I couldn't stand the sight of myself. I realized that my well being was all just a delusion.
Think your life is great? Try trapping yourself in your own thoughts for a mere forty five minutes. You'd be surprised.

It's not the same
The hour before you fall asleep doesn't feel that long
Psychedelics, on the other hand, alter your perception of time, so it can feel like several hours, days, years even, or it can feel really short, like five minutes.

it is the same thing. ive done shrooms. in bed with no clock you dont count the minutes, it could feel like a really long time or a short time before you fall asleep. sometimes I feel like ive been laying in the same spot for hours, and only 30mins has passed.
and while on psychedelics you canot keep a train of thought. you cant go REALLY deep. its only seconds that you realize one single thing, and then thats all you think about for a really long time, or jump from thing to thing. thats the only difference, and in that way psys are worst for self reflection and assessing your life

you must be incapable of deep thought in general if you think that psychedelics lead to anything worth actually thinking about.
psys should aid your ability to think deeply and from an outside perspective. it is not the ONLY way to do it. you can think like that on a day to day basis and become more aware of your surroundings, and this is more important as its easier to remember and done while in a sober state.
psys do not pull things from the ether that are not there already, try harder to think of them while sober instead of relying on a crutch

Yea but dustin, you're a drug addict, You have a different mindset than a lot of other people here, especially myself and that affects the result of the trip. To say that every single person experiences the same exact psychedelic trip is fucking hilarious because it's so wrong. Brolock is talking out of his ass on this.

but psychedelics DO help you think clearly and deeper if you've done them enough and in smaller doses than a huge trip(Sometimes huge trips are enlightening too). Yes they pull from what your mind is already thinking about, but they add more to it than you can even possibly think sober. I'm not advocating habitual use, but if you use it right and in the right environment, your knowledge WILL expand beyond the normal capacity while sober ,e.g., making music, art, or whatever requires extreme creativity. Almost every single artist out there does recreational drugs in some form, and a shit ton use psychedelics, I can tell you that is a fact.
