the universe is seemingly infinitely large, and multiverse theory is more than plausible at this point, at least to me given the public studies and papers produced by theoretical physicists and firms.

Yes because infinitely means everything that happens has already happened.

in our own universe there are infinite amounts of Earths (and all the galaxies etc in space) all with the same political debacles and wars, even slightly or greatly altered "realities". this may be an unfalsifiable hypothesis, but it's not too abstract from reality.

A while ago I got real high in a park in Amsterdam with a friend and we were listening to Prison Song by System of a Down and singing along, but when the part came where he goes 'Utilizing drugs to pay for secret wars around the world' I accidentally said 'secret worlds around the war' and both our minds got blown into space.
Imagine if there are actually like tons of other planets with really advanced civilizations relatively close to our planet but we haven't been able to find them yet because they use some kind of cloaking device because our planet is used as the battleground for a war that has been going on for millions of years and they can't attack each other directly because they know that as soon as one of them does that, they'd break the treaty of peace and it would trigger a massive universal war that would destroy everything (kind of like the situation on Earth now, if for example North Korea decides to attack the USA it would trigger WWIII and it would mean the end for humanity as we know it), so they chose one planet to send genetically modified single-celled organisms and biological weapons (viruses) to and have them battle it out there.

I'm genuinely sorry for being the pedantic prick that's always trying to tell you that you're wrong, but.... you're wrong. Infinite simply means without bounds. If you can relate a thought to a biological process in the brain of a sentient being, then quite clearly any thought is unique in time and space. I am conscious and therefore unique. This belief is so deeply hard-wired into our being that the human mind can't even truly contemplate a world without its own presence; you can't really imagine death, only the consequences. This in itself is a most bizarre truth for a species that loses consciousness every time it sleeps.
As for the original question: I think that historically, every time people theorize that their epoch is uniquely important (climate change, expansion of space, center of the galaxy, etc etc) they tend to later find that they were wrong and instead represent just a blip in the overall natural order. With this mindset, it's hard to imagine that our planet and our time-frame are the only ones that can or do support life. On the other hand, it's also pretty hard to imagine that otherworldly life would represent anything at all similar to what we're accustomed to - barring, of course, the possibility of a shared origin.
For a really mind-bending extension of this argument, you ought to read someone abusing Gödel’s First Incompleteness Theorem to "prove" that some concepts wouldn't be translatable to an alien language, eg "this sentence can't be represented in alien language." Sadly, I don't have a reference handy and can't remember the argument well enough to produce it from memory.

I believe there's other sentient beings somewhere out there. Maybe even in the same galaxy as us. But I don't think we could even find such life, let alone contact them, within the next several centuries.
The incredible vastness of our universe makes it hard to believe that there wouldn't be any other life within it.

You have to imagine that if there were more intelligent sentient beings out there, they wouldn't be using our crude methods of communication. Think extra dimensional communication. This is an older study but it goes over extra dimensional space-time and communication http://www.worldscientific.com/doi/abs/10.1142/S0217751X00001920 you'll have to find a link somewhere else for the actual study though
Humans are so young in the terms of progress of the race and technology, so it's no surprise to me that if there were (not saying there is) intelligent life out there they would just ignore us or view as inferior since humans do nothing but rape everything in existence and are the cancer of the universe, without a doubt. Even with our "intelligence" humans will still fight over the stupidest shit and kill each other.

if there was more intelligent beings then they would have gone through other stages and by means of probability one of the intelligent beings would be at a similar point in advancement that they would have similar forms of communication that would eventually reach us via radio waves in the vastness of space, somewhat similar to parallel evolution. just by probability there should be other beings at the same level as us, so its ridiculous to think they wouldn't have tried to contact us by now
I also have no reason to believe that even if they did some crazy ass way of communication that we cant think of that they wouldnt also have something as basic as radio communication or to be able to detect our own shit from far distances
as for them ignoring us: thats just part of the fermi paradox, but I still think of it in terms of the great filter (the explanation for the fermi paradox), theres no reason that advanced beings wouldnt have advanced morals or some concept of saving the universe, making them want to intervene with us when we come close to having enough power to destroy large things like galaxies or dimensions but only time will tell for that. and considering lifespan will be increased so much in our lifetime we will be able to find out, if something like the great filter doesn't end us first

Why would something so intelligent want to destroy? You're projecting human nature
it's possible that there are people watching us right now just waiting for us to reach the next level of communication and networking, and by not spoonfeeding these methods of communcation/life/whatever they allow the natural process of gathering self-referential intelligence (in our case human anatomy/biology) to exist in a better state of consciousness. and as a side note, I'm sure if there are intelligent sentient beings they have gone through a process just like human evolution.
EDIT : my bad i misread disregard my first line

| yes but not every single evolution would be guided the same way, surely there'd be one group that would want to influence our evolution. unless theres some kind of galatic superpower UN basically that prevents these things. its a pretty grand assumption that every single group of advanced beings is on the same moral level and are guided the same way. plus dont discourage humans ourselves, im sure if there was something like this we would have some kind of evidence for it by now.

Assuming gets you no where in science and skepticism. I could assume flying unicorns exist on Jupiter, can I prove it? no. can I disprove it? also no
Bro, we can't even completely figure out gravity(we don't even have physical proof, it's all theory) and you think we should have evidence now of extra dimensional communication, even if we haven't discovered the tools to access it yet? That's pretty illogical.

assumption is the basis of science. everything must start somewhere. you start with an assumption based on observances. considering we can only only think within our own context, then all of our assumptions will be based on our own observances and beliefs, anything we think is only within the limits of our own minds. you talk about extra dimensional communication, and since you think its illogical that we should have proof, then the thought of it itself is only assumptions.
if you want to assume flying unicorns exist on Jupiter then you can do so, and then you can work on the technology to prove or disprove it. if you assume extra dimensional communication is the future step of communication and that other beings have reached it, then the next step is building the technology to prove or disprove that assumption.
since everything we're talking about here is only assumption based on our own observances, and also our own beliefs since any theory on other intelligent life is just as feasible as the next until something concrete has been found, then assumptions are the entire basis of this discussion, we're not doing research we're only throwing around ideas that we believe.
we can't completely prove anything exists, we can't prove our own existence, but we have to assume we do in order to further the research on it, otherwise we'd get nowhere
