| Thinking of getting one to conserve some desk space and for programming the keys for like media players and stuff. Also the LCD is pretty useful I think for system monitoring, fraps info, etc.

I'm confused what you're saying.
I want it to reduce desk clutter so it'll be easier to manage and organize other physical work or projects. Basically use it instead of my keyboard for gaming and only use an actual keyboard when I need.

Of all things you would need the space for, gaming is not one of them. :/ If anything you want space where your mouse goes so you can have a large mousemat and enough room to aim properly. Also they suck dick.

I will have ONE desk that will have my monitor, pc, keyboard, and mouse on. AND I will also have to use this SAME desk for any hw/physical projects. So hopefully that's clear now. I'm not making space for gaming, I'm taking space away from my gaming area so I have more room on the desk for other things.
This is why 2 monitors is stupid
This is why I don't want to use my full keyboard
This is why I want the gamepad in the first place

If you aren't using your keyboard, then why would you just leave it in the way? Push it towards your monitor. Also two monitors isn't stupid. It makes things much easier especially when coding or trying to learn things. Aaaaand the gamepad is terrible.

Can't shell out for another monitor, and happy with what I have.
I just wanted to get as much space as possible, because what I'll have isn't a lot.
