I might as well post my crappy progress.
I'm thinking about going back into graffiti again, last year I tried to make a comeback but it didn't really work out as I planned it would because I wanted too much too fast. So 2 days ago I picked up my markers again and this is the first one that came out of it. Yeah I know it's very basic, but that's what I planned to do, I'm going to keep it very simplistic until I master the basics, and then I can improve my style. Comments are welcome, critics are welcome, nothing at all is welcome, I don't care.

Edit: Number 2, pretty much sucks, although I still post it in here since it will be a process topic. The concept is alright I guess, it's just the outcome that sucks. I'm also wondering if I did the shade inside the letters the right way..

They don't look terrible.

#1 - Has too much space between the bottom of the D and the R, usually things like this are more smashed together with little white space left over.)

#2 - Not sure what the dot is for in the middle. Without it and the letters put together it would probably look a bit better.

Ah, your first post didn't mention the Dr. Op title so I assumed it was just spelling Drop.

I'd say of the 2nd one, probably just crunch the letters together and have the dot sit on top of the of bottom right of the R and off it a bit to the right too. So it keeps the rest of the image together.

Edit: Well it went better than expected, I guess it came out pretty nice.

I think it's wonderful that you'd lighten up a daycare centre with that. They'll love it, perhaps if you add some hand-prints it'll look a bit better. I've attached an image to illustrate this.

I'd appreciate it if you told the children to use the colours I've shown in the mockup, as I believe it'll add a nice new dimension to the illustration and really make the drawing 'pop'.
It's like thinking outside of the box, but keeping within the box, y'know.
