i am so pissed right now i could cut my wrists and burn my computer. my old hp (xp) motherboard broke, and my old toshiba laptop (xp) adapter freaking broke and my 2007 acer has vista and i cant do diddly shit with it and im getting frustrated. i got vmware, made a new virtual machine, downloaded and installed windows xp professional sp2 and followed mitta's guide and it doesnt even freaking work." Failed to construct 3-D rendering backend. The 3-D features of the display card will be disabled." and after all this bull all it did was take up disk space and make everything lag on my computer.

i hate acers, i hate laptops, i have vista, i hate life. :'(

i couldnt even get vmware to work i get that stupid error

out of those four things, i just hate acers. had a bad experience with them years ago, and now i'll never touch one again.

The only reason you don't like Vista is that you can't hack MapleStory. Oh well, there are so many other games that are way better. Vista, for one, is so much more better than XP. You just need to learn the fact that MapleStory isn't the only game available.

Then make another partition with the NFTS or FAT32 format. You might need to shrink your current partition to do so. If that doesn't work, boot PartionMagic off of a disk and do it.

After that, boot a Windows XP installation disk. Make sure you pick the newly partitioned drive. Install it. BAM, dual boot. If you just want to chuck Vista entirely, repartition your current drive to NFTS Or FAT32 and then install XP on it.

The theme gets laggy. At least, for me it did. During my six months with Vista, it kept getting slower with each update.

I do, however, have an Acer, but I've never had issues with the computer itself. I have Ubuntu now and it's fucking awesome. My computer seems to perform at its fullest. The only thing I didn't like about Acer is that it said I had TWO PHYSICAL HARD DRIVES, but I checked it and it only had one. It just had two partitions...

They fucking ripped me off.
