The card that would give you the best performance would be the 8800 Ultra.

Although the best bang for the buck is still the 8800GT.

Currently is the 8800 Ultra.
But just liek Unlmtd said, the best deal right now is the 800GT.

Well the 9800GX2 has two circuit boards and two cores, it's like two cards in one. So when you connect two 9800GX2 with the SLI bridge, you get a "Quad SLI" It was done with the 7950GX2 also, back in 2006.

Holy shit, I have the 8600GT O_O.

And yeah, it's pretty decent for games. I can run Half-Life 2 on max settings with a pretty decent FPS (Over 30.)

8600GT here, native rez at full FPS

also wouldnt buy one if you're going all out, 9k series this year

eVGA 8800 GTX is fucking nice. If you can't afford it I suggest 8800GT which is like $200 on newegg, don't buy the 8800GTS, the GT owns it by far.
