| Do people still use mouse pads? I thought they were for the ball mouses back in the late 90's but now most of the mouses today are laser.

Yeah, they are still around. I even still use a ball mouse. Can't beat the classics.

laser & wireless sucks (needs to much batteries).. and it's hard to get laser with cable

What? I have an optical mouse with a cord, only costed me $11 USD...

I use a mouse pad.

i use a mouse pad. my mouse is a gaming logitec w/e that came with my pc and works well. and no it isnt wireless, they sux.

i got a new optical wireless mouse today and i just grabbed an old pad a couple minutes ago because the stupid bench makes the mouse go funny and it's smoother.

I use a book! I play on my couch with my laptop so i just use what ever is closest and smooth. =D

I use 2 mice. Being that I'm ambidextrous, my left mouse is wireless for general usage, the right one is wired and for gaming, yes I'm weird like that. I use a mousepad just to save my desk from getting tore up, works fine without.
Now as far as a keyboard, I've tried just about every one out there and I still love my 80's IBM keyboard the best

Chances are it's a standard LED optical mouse and not a laser one.
