If it's a screen capture your looking for just use Prntscrn or Print Screen on your keyboard and then paste it into Paint and cut out anything you don't want and save it.
But if you're looking for a screen recorder Camstudio is ok though You need to get a codec to watch the videos with media player.
I pesonally find Hypercam lags alot though it is simple to use
