I read about something like this in a story, I think it was called Flowers for Algernon. It was some machine you listened to when you go to sleep and it made a retarded guy turn super smart making his friends hate him. It was Fiction though :] Oh I just remembered the thing you're actually talking about. It's called Eye Q, you use your eyes to look at objects and it improves your memory and reading speed. I don't believe this actually works though.

well i saw the commercial on late night infomercials. There was asians staring at a pc screen with them big ass headphones from the 70s(or what the ear doctor makes you wear).
