ok this is driving me mad - I have successfully made trainers that perform fairly well - and will be releasing all the trainers i make to the public
however ive ran into an issue that i cannot figure out
im not the smartest in the world and im stumped
-- OK I use Cheat Engine to -- See what Writes to this address etc..
it shows
mov [edx+ecx+00053f8c], eax
Now i understand that means to ADD the Value of ECX to 00053f8c
ok the Value of ECX is HEX - 00000018 (24 decimal) + Hex 00053f8c (343948)
so you basically add 24 + 343948 which = 343972
therefore when I edit a pointer using a Trainer i use the command
Pointer 005022B4 343972 Add 3F 42 0F 00
for my trainer - and it works perfectly
HOWEVER
On different Machines the Value of ECX is not the same that makes my pointers totally different and non functional on other machines
on my machine ECX is - 00000018
on my second machine ECX was - 00000024
How do i figure out what is writing to ECX and stop it or get around it
please any help is appreciated

Nice tutorial thanks.
@xonsniper4:
The offset is EBP+26.
Your screenshot doesnt show a value for EBP; you must not be using the latest cheat engine? Download the tastest cheat engine and the offset would be the value of EBP + 26. Remember these values are both in hex.

26 maybe
and anyone know that if I type "ebp" or something like that into offset or pointer address will it work?

Sorry for my noobness |
Well i'v done it. I had multi level pointers and i wanted to see if i could make them one level without (finding what reads/writes) What i did was just take a static addy. I wasnt bothered which one. Then manually worked out the offset which was simple enough. I had 8 pointers with the same base addy. They all still work after a game and windows install.
But i'v never seen a tut doing that. Why did you want a tut anyway? You having problems dude!

in REAL games it's usually not that easy as "working" (i guess you mean guessing) them out.
