				| In my opinion of both coding in both Visual Basic and C and C++ for years. Visual Basic is good for RAD(rapid application development) and small projects. When you start coding large projects in Visual Basic, the code becomes too hard to manage. Also, the amount of overhead in a visual basic executable is staggering. Comparable C++ programs execute way faster, and are smaller and easier to manage and expand. I'm not bashing Visual Basic, I think it has it's uses and is actually very powerful when you adapt to the Windows API. Also, VB is good for like designing and testing a GUI before you code it in another language. Visual Basic programs also need certain libraries to be included with the users computer, and the language itself isn't much portable. Some projects began to have visual basic for *nix systems, so we'll see where this goes. |  |

 even that many ppl say things like this, my 1st language was VB and im quite good at it, BUT now iv gone to Delphi and i find it easy to learn
