sweet at least i'm not the only beginner here xD, and yah i hate fken ebooks and iternet pages, i can never take in that crap, books ftw xD. and is C++ ur first language? |
i know sql and some html but that doesn't help for anything, so it really doesn't make a difference. i wouldn't suggest C++ for a first language because i'm personally having trouble with it but who knows maybe you'll find it to be easy.

void setEntityPosition(Entity* entity, float x, float y, float z)
{
entity->x = x;
entity->y = y;
entity->z = z;
}
void Entity::setPosition(float x, float y, float z)
{
this->x = x;
this->y = y;
this->z = z;
}
My conclusion is they are almost the same... and stuff like template in C++ help save some of your coding time...
To understand C++ require you to understand Object-Orientation. Inheritance, Polymorphism, abstraction and etc... Once you understand that learn C++ would be pretty straight forward... To learn C/C++ you at least have to understand how computer works... like memory, binary, hexadecimal, bit shifting, etc... or else you might have trouble using pointers... which when i first try to tackle it, i failed really bad...

Well, you can use C++, but don't expect to have a GUI for a while. Visual Basic makes it far too easy to create a GUI, you can learn how in a matter of hours.

Visual Basics? You kidding me..lol, it's a bit too simple when you get the hang of it.
I'd say C or C++. But if you want, it's good to start low to high.
