For somereson my CE scans are slow idk what happend
Windows 11 25H2, build 26200 (fresh install)
rx 9070 xt
32gb ram 3200mt
i7-12700kf
nvme ssd Patriot P400L 2000GB
size of scanbuffer 4096KB

im using cheat engine around 15-17 years now and for the first time i encounter a bug that i cannot find a fix for in CE, so im reaching for help

stuff that happens during scans:fps goes lower(normal) but when windows taskbar is pressed or anyother app is pressed making cheat engine "not in front" makes the fps go much higher like the ce berely using something.
anyway the problem was clear the moment my friend did the exact search as i did and his pc much slower than mine yet his with 512kb scanbuffer made the same scan as i did around 4x faster, i tried every guide consolted with AI to find out what is the problem. yet nothing seems to work. scan still slow
even tried to turn off VT-d and virtualization still the same result, altho in CMD it shows that virtualization is still on just not using any resorces

Foreground apps get performance cores, background apps get shit cores.
Memory scanning does not need a fast CPU so, but it does benefit from fast RAM, fast disk and more CPU cores.
Check your scan settings, too.

make sure kernelmode options are disabled. They can be slow

Check the scan priority option. Maybe you can use taskmanager or resource monitor to change the priority of the ce process itself

and disable mem_mapped if you don't need it. It can be slow if it's just references to slow storage space (e.g an internet mapped file)
