Hello, really glad a native Linux build of CE is finally here.

I do have a few questions however. When booting CE, it shows a popup asking the user to either become a patron, or use CE as a Trial.

What exactly does a "Trial" mean for CE on Linux?

When I was using CE on Windows, I never saw such popup. Is it a temporary, or permanent thing for the native Linux build?

Also I absolutely understand the need of funding via Patreon! I'm just curious how this all is supposed to work.

Cheers!

For linux(and mac) it's permanent. Trial means that CE will disable features after a while (addresslist, memview, scanning, etc... until CE closes itself) but restarting CE resets the time so you can use it indefinitely. Just got to restart it every now and then

also for patreon you don't have to be a member permanently. There's a point at which it accepts even when not an active member anymore (just don't delete your account)

Interesting! Kinda need clarification though xD

At what point does it not require me to stay subscribed? I'm inclined to become a patron!

generally about a year of being a member if you're on the lowest tier
