oh naive man... you're not seeing the bigger picture. behind these 'senseless' arguments, particularly during our youth, is a developing mind actively learning reasoning, logical framing, and rebuttal. addittionally, we were being exposed to opposing viewpoints which strengthens perspective, assuming the teen is capable of reflection. how about pattern recoginition? it becomes easier to recognize fallicies repeated over and over and to more quickly pick up on and understand when an argument is going nowhere. over time, this would sharpen any analytical filtering. as far as continuing to do so goes, it's good exercise for the brain to help prevent alzheimers/dementia. after age 30 you start going downhill. if you're not exercising both your mind and your body i hope you have good genetics and luck on your side. idk about you, but i'd like to go to the bathroom unassisted when i'm older. |

That was and is a hobby. Actually, Ieventually wrote 3 simple games and have 4 projects I mess with now and then.

during my senior year of high school while taking an ap comp science class focused primarily on java i lost interest in the hobby and was already accepted into my university of choice along with my backup. i decided i didn't want to follow in the footsteps of my poo in loo uncles, one of which had a fruitful career at microsoft. granted, back then you could be a history major and get hired by an aerospace company... and not as a janitor. anyway... i knew i wanted to do something involving math as that is my strongest subject. this was back in 2010, while families were still recovering from the '07-'08 financial crisis, before all the douchey movies in the late 2010s made finance 'cool' and "bro culture." corporate finance appealed to me, particularly in the healthcare industry due to its complexity. after getting my b.s. in finance and a minor in math my parents talked me out of getting an MBA despite it being fully paid for by the govt (not loans, but grants) and topping my finance classes since they viewed it as a waste of time. they didn't understand i was going to school for fun, regardless of if i would use the degree(s) in a career. i hit the birth lottery, depending on who you ask, as i've never cared for money because i have the luxury of never having to worry about money, a roof over my head, or an empty stomach regardless of if i work or not the rest of my life, without fraudulently receiving govt. assistance because obama changed the law allowing for addicts to qualify for SSI so now you have a bunch of homeless addicts receiving $900-$1700/mo. and spending it on a few oz's of dope at the beginning of each month. he helped a lot of people.

what does physical strength have to do with a woman working a director level job in the corporate world as your bosses bosses bosses boss, making more more in a year than you've ever held at any one time? notice how you 'conveniently' speak nothing of emotional strength/capacity of women who, in general, is far greater than that of a man (which society encourages/teaches to suppress their emotions leading to disabling the man), unless that man is a sociopath or has learned to dissociate from their emotions. two of the smartest and most capable individuals that have been a part of my life are women; one with a phd in mathematics and the other with an mba and phd in finance.
i understand you're upset about the circumstances surrounding your divorce, but you kind of asked for it by involving her in that industry. it's really unhealthy to hold onto this. if you cannot get over it yourself, then seek professional help through psychotherapy (you know yourself better than i do, i'd recommend doing some research on types of therapy available to find which is most appropriate for you) to move forward with your life and not view women in the unhealthy way you currently do. or choose to remain bitter and naive the rest of your life. only you can help yourself.
