I'm working on a TAS tool for a PC game, but Windows 10 sees it as a threat. You have to disable real-time protection before you run it, otherwise it'll get quarantined.
I can warn people to disable RTP before running the program, but if it's possible to make some changes and avoid the problem altogether, I'd really rather do that. Cheat Engine itself doesn't seem to be regarded as a threat on my computer, so I was wondering if it's something in my Lua script? Or is it unavoidable?
Thanks in advance if anyone has any tips. |

Tried signing your .exe with an ev code certificate? AV's are less likely to complain then _________________

Pay extortion money to antivirus mafia
In other words, register a company, pay corporate taxes to government, wait months dealing with govt beauruacracy (sp?) then apply to a software code signing certificate (the expensive the better) and wait weeks-months giving them all the personal information until they finally issue it. It's not a guarantee either that all AVs will not call you a malware distributor either but most will refrain from doing so.
It has gotten so bad that antiviruses don't even bother checking for malware anymore, they just see if an exe is signed or not and if it's not slap a malware label on it and done.
What is going to happen? AV users blindly believe whatever their AV tells them and the more their antivirus moans about malware found, the safer they feel xD _________________
