|
|
So I've tried using cheat engine's speed hack on 3 games recently and it didn't work. Yes, I tried turning Vsync on and off/FPS limiter and it still didn't work. 1 thing I noticed is those 3 games are Unity engine games. Is there an anti-speed hack built in on Unity engine that prevents this or what?
For reference, the game that I tried that's well known is Pathfinder: WoTR

I think most Unity games will work with CE's speed hack, however there exist modules on the asset store such as this one (assetstore.unity DOT com/packages/tools/utilities/anti-cheat-toolkit-2021-202695 I still can't post links hurr) which try to prevent exactly that.

I have used speeedhacks with several unity games fine, but I did recently notice this happening with an Ubisoft game. I checked vsync, adaptive resolution, FPS limiting--I even ran the in-game benchmark to verify the FPS wasn't capped, but the speedhacks still had no effect.
It being some sort of anti-cheat module would make sense. I know we aren't allowed to discuss circumventing those--but I thought I would post here since I was googling and not able to find information.
The game in question (I am not asking for help, just wanted to mention it for google + other person mentioned the game) was Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
