|
|
Hi,
after I posted a cheat table for "Monster Hunter Stories 2" I got some reports that cheat engine freezes upon enabling auto assembly entries in the table. (https://fearlessrevolution.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=16775&p=202882#p202882)
That freeze occurs, when a trainer (I think doesn't matter which one) is already active for the game and it is not specific to any specific auto assembly script. It happens, if you execute the script from the "Auto assemble" window even with empty scripts, or once you assign the script to the current table with just [Enable] and [Disable] inside or once you activate any auto assembler script already in the table.
This occurs with cheat engine version 7.2. Since I never had any problems like that I tested it with the 7.0 version I still had installed and sure enough that version doesn't have any problems.
I'm not sure, if that's important, but I heard the trainers use veh detours to circumvent memory scans done by the game.
If any auto assembler script is executed before starting the trainer, it'll work just fine too, but the trainer will have errors.
Shouldn't it be possible for both to be used simultaneously especially since it still worked with cheat engine 7.0?
Is this here the correct location to post a bug report or should I post it elsewhere or write dark byte a direct message?

https://github.com/cheat-engine/cheat-engine/issues for bugreports
slso this issue is already resolved. for now the easiest workaround is remove the dotnetdatacollector64.exe from ce's folder

Okay, I'll use that place in the future.
Would deleting that exe file have any negative side effects like me being unable to use some features? And if so, is there also a less easier but optimal workaround?
Thanks a lot for the quick answer and of course for your great tool!

with that file gone you do miss out on symbols for .net targets
less easier is compile the new dotnetdatacollector64.exe from the sourcecode on github
